At O’Neill & Holman we believe in supporting our local community. We have charities that are close to our hearts which we support and fundraise for whenever we can.

In June 2024 a group of local businesses owners, including Rob and George, took on the challenge of climbing Ben Nevis, Skafell Pike and Snowdon all within 24 hours. The aim of the challenge was to raise £10,000 for The Devon Clinic, a local charity and C.I.C. that helps people who are struggling with mental health issues, including stress, anxiety and depression.

It was definitely a challenge with 1500 miles driven, 23 miles (10,000 ft) walked and 3 peaks climbed we managed to complete it in 23 hours 45 minutes! We couldn’t have done it with a better team. Check out the team Facebook page to see all the updates and photos from the day.

Thank you so much to everyone who donated, your support means a lot to us and we know The Devon Clinic is such a worthy cause. If you missed the challenge and would like to donate you still can on the JustGiving page.

In May 2023, George joined in with Absolute Sales & Lettings Ltd‘s sunrise to sunset challenge, raising money for Rowcroft Hospice. The challenge was to complete as many 1 mile laps of Paignton Seafront as possible from sunrise to sunset. People were walking, running, cycling, rollerblading, scootering and even tandem cycling. Together they completed a whopping 631 miles across the day!

George kept going for over 15 hours, walking and running, racking up a total of 92.5km!

In September 2022, Rob and George took on the challenge of walking from Bristol to Paignton, dressed as Woody and Buzz from Toy Story, to raise money for Rowcroft Hospice.

There were highs, lows and injuries along the way but they did it with the help of some of our team, along with George’s son Benji, who met them at Newton Abbot to complete the last leg of the epic journey. 490,000 steps, 93 hours, 228 miles and 3 counties later they raised over £2500!

If you missed it don’t worry there’s still time to donate on their JustGiving page.
